São Paulo Odissi Workshop - Day 2

In São Paulo, Sam Goraya led a three-day Odissi workshop bringing together dancers from diverse backgrounds in an atmosphere of focus, generosity, and shared devotion to the form.

The workshop emphasised technique, abhinaya, rhythm, and the deeper spiritual foundations of Odissi, including themes rooted in Shakti and the Nava Durga tradition, while fostering genuine cultural exchange and collective growth. Sam extends his sincere gratitude to the dancers for their dedication, and to those who continue to support and cultivate Odissi practice in Brazil.

These days stood as a reminder that Odissi is not only preserved through tradition, but kept alive through community, sincerity, and shared experience.
