Day 1 - Vasante Vasanti 🌼

The first day of the workshop opened with joy, curiosity, and a beautiful sense of shared discovery.

Sharing Odissi with such open and dedicated dancers was a deeply moving experience. The group brought attentiveness, rhythm, and generosity into the space from the very beginning, allowing the practice to unfold naturally and with ease.

Heartfelt gratitude to Sonia Galvão for her care, clarity, and beautiful translations, which created an immediate sense of connection and understanding. Deep thanks to Gabriel Levy - accordionist, pianist, composer, arranger, educator, and producer - whose music carried warmth, sensitivity, and depth throughout the day, shaping the atmosphere with great generosity. Gratitude also to everyone at A Magnífica Orquestra for opening such an inspiring space to move, listen, and create together.

The day’s focus was Vasante Vasanti, a choreographic piece set in the season of spring - when nature blossoms and divine love awakens. Through the story of Radha and Krishna, the dancers explored longing, tenderness, and devotion. Radha waits for Krishna, and every movement reflects the rhythm of her heart - gentle, restless, and alive.

It was a beautiful beginning.
